SERVICES

Our service is available for anyone over the age of fourteen. Children are required to attend appointments with a parent or an appropriate guardian.

Once a wax presence has been identified, we will recommend a suitable treatment to help your situation.

Our service are open from 9:00am to 17:00pm, Monday to Friday, and are subject to availability. Appointments may occasionally be provided outside of these times at our discretion for the convenience of clients. The proposed fees and proposed treatment are discussed with the client before any actions are taken. Consent is obtained from the client prior to proceeding with the agreed treatment. Client confidentiality and data is respected in accordance with Data Protection legislation and our policies on data protection and data retention.

Where necessary, if an infection or medical anomaly is found, we would suggest that the client seeks advice from their GP. DLM Ear Care does not prescribe medicine.

For all appointments, please be advised that you will be requested to administer an oil based lubricant such as olive oil or Earol in the affected ears for 5 to 7 days before the appointment.

Ear Wax Removal

In some cases, we will attempt to remove ear wax manually with surgical tools and scrapers.

This technique is non invasive and will only affect the outer canal of the ear where the ear wax is built up and requires removal.

An otoscope and a pair of specialist light loupes (magnified glasses with a medical grade light installed into them), enable a clear view throughout the treatment.

In some cases, if an infection is discovered, we would safely stop the procedure and reccommend that you visit your GP to seek further advice. We would only risk making things worse if we continued.

Your comfort is important to us and you can withdraw your consent to treatment at any time during the process.

Irrigation

Ear wax removal via Irrigation uses water to flush out the wax inside the ear.

This technique allows the wax to soften further during the procedure. Again, it's a non invasive technique and will only affect the outer canal of the ear where the ear wax is built up and requires removal.

We use a warm water spray that mimics a turbine action, which softens and encourages the wax to migrate closer to the outer ear so that it may be removed easier.

An otoscope and a pair of specialist light loupes (magnified glasses with a medical grade light installed into them), enable a clear view throughout the treatment.

Your comfort is important to us and you can withdraw your consent to treatment at any time during the process.

Microsuction

Microsuction ear wax removal is a clean and comfortable solution.

A small, thin, low-pressure suction device that acts like a vaccuum and is used to remove the wax gently and comfortably.

An otoscope and a pair of specialist light loupes (magnified glasses with a medical grade light installed into them), enable a clear view throughout the treatment.

This technique is non invasive and will only affect the outer canal of the ear where the ear wax is built up and requires removal.

Please expect some noise during the treatment. Your comfort is important to us and you can withdraw your consent to treatment at any time during the process.
